A picture book about the human world through the eyes of a wise octopus. The oceans are filling with waste and the seabed is turning into a museum of human inventions – from office chairs to credit cards. These curious objects fascinate the octopus and awaken her desire to discover the people who created and abandoned them. People seem amazing and also very strange! She sets out to find answers: what friendship means, why humans do such incomprehensible things, and whether she can find her place among them.
